Year-Round Part-Time Retail Associate - Cozy Shop
Main Street, St. Charles, MO
Pay: $15/hour during training; $18/hour after completing training.
Hours: Typically 16-20 hours per week, with additional hours during the holiday season. Shift lengths vary, including shorter shifts and full-day coverage.

Cozy Shop is looking for a friendly, dependable person to join our small team through the holiday season and into 2027. This is an ongoing, year-round position, not a seasonal-only opening. We champion handmade and Midwest-designed goods and offer a welcoming, personalized shopping experience.

What you will do

Help customers find gifts, answer product questions and share the stories behind our makers.
Operate the POS system for purchases and returns.
Assist with product tastings and keep the sales floor welcoming and organized.
Restock products and maintain displays.
Follow opening and closing procedures and support daily shop operations.
Work independently during some shifts after training and collaborate with the team during busy periods.

What we are looking for

Dependability, punctuality and follow-through on scheduled shifts.
Friendly customer service, clear communication and practical problem-solving.
Initiative and comfort learning products and store procedures.
Retail or customer-service experience is preferred; training is provided.
Ability to perform the essential duties, including moving around the sales floor and restocking or moving products weighing up to 10 lbs, with or without reasonable accommodation.
An interest in handmade and small-batch goods is a plus.

Schedule

Weekday availability is important, particularly Tuesdays. Weekend availability and selected evening shifts are required during November and December. Holiday shifts may include 9 AM openings and Wednesday, Friday or Saturday closings at 9 PM. Outside the holiday season, we can discuss a regular schedule and weekend rotation that work for both you and the shop.

Please provide your available time windows for each day, preferred weekly hours and any known holiday scheduling limits below. We are interested in your availability, not personal or family reasons for restrictions. A resume is optional; relevant work history can be entered directly. References may be requested later in the hiring process.
